Community Celebrates New Tempe Clinic

October 10, 2017 | /

Our Tempe Clinic, on the corner of Broadway and McClintock, has been seeing patients since opening to the community in mid-May. This past Wednesday we invited our board members, community partners and stakeholders to take part in our Grand Opening ceremony to celebrate and thank all those involved in the process of making this community landmark a reality.

In just a few short months our new clinic has had a huge impact on those living and working in the city of Tempe. The original space was only about 8,000 square-feet.

The new space gave us an additional 24,000 square-feet, allowing us to triple the number of patients we can serve. We grew from 13 rooms to 46, with eight of those room having specialized accessible exam beds. With the opening of the clinic, we will also be able to add 80 jobs in Tempe.

The event featured remarks from Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell and our very own CEO, Dr. John Swagert. Both touched on the importance of a Community Health Center and what it means to Tempe to have an innovative, affordable place to go to for care. Tours were offered and our guests got a behind the scenes look into how our teams work collaboratively to ensure the best health outcomes for our patients.

Attendees also learned about our purposeful landscape design, outdoor walking path and fitness features, as well as our latest sustainability efforts.

Thank you to all our staff, stakeholders, board members and community members that attended the event, and more importantly for helping us make this clinic come to life.

Take a moment to watch our video. You’ll get a glimpse inside our clinic and see the impact we’re already making in our community.
