Growing up in El Paso, I always wanted to be a veterinarian. We always had dogs, I loved animals, and I even got my first microscope when I was 10 years old.
I came to Arizona in 2014 to be with my family. My son is a cancer survivor and was getting treatment at the Mayo Clinic and my youngest daughter was finishing up her degree. I was inspired to work in healthcare by a student nurse I saw while my son was hospitalized. Dr. Baker was so impressive and I had such a good feeling about Mountain Park, that I decided to work here.
I’ve been in the medical field since 1990, and have seen healthcare change a lot. I’m happy that we’re now more focused on addressing the diversity of our patients and staff.
