No Matter Who You Are, Mountain Park is Here for You

At Mountain Park Health Center, we are dedicated to health and wellbeing of our patients. For Customer Service Representative Lead Cynthia Lira, it’s that great care and attention she received as a patient that made her want to work for Mountain Park.

Cynthia joined the Mountain Park team in 2016 after receiving her prenatal care with us. “I loved the way everyone here cared for their patients and helped them get everything they need,” said Cynthia. “After being a patient, I told my mom I really wanted to work here.”

Cynthia says being able to see Mountain Park from the patient side of things and now being an employee here has been an amazing experience.

Cynthia started as a CSR at our Tempe Clinic and within just one year she was promoted to a lead position. “My role here is to support all the CSRs and make sure they have what they need to do their job,” said Cynthia.

Family is very important to Cynthia.
Cynthia spends all of her free time with her two kids.

Aside from supporting her team, Cynthia also loves being there for our patients. “The patients remember us,” said Cynthia. “I have patients who will call me sometimes just to tell me about their day. Not everyone has friends and family they can talk to and they know we are here for them.”

Growing up, Cynthia was always taught to help people. It’s those lessons that helped prepare her for her role as a CSR. “When I was young, my dad used to bring people home who didn’t have anything. He’d let them stay in our pool house until they were able to get a place of their own,” said Cynthia. “Even now, they’ll come over still to thank us. I was raised to always help people.”

As a mother of two, Cynthia is now passing those same lessons onto her kids. “I’m passionate about my family,” she said. “I teach my kids that we stick together no matter what and that we always help someone out who is in need.”

Cynthia says she is most proud of being a parent and of the kindness her 5-year-old daughter and 8-year-old son show others. “We lit candles to show our support for the Black Lives Matter movement and my kids really enjoyed it,” said Cynthia. “I want my kids to understand what is going on around them and appreciate every moment.”

The positivity and kindness Cynthia learned from her parents and is now passing onto her kids, is also the easiest part of her job. “I always start out the day with a smile so I can bring that positivity to my team,” Cynthia said.

“What I love about Cynthia is that regardless of what she may have going on in her life, she always has a huge smile on her face,” said Inez Martinez, Operations Manager at our Tempe Clinic.

“I’m passionate about being a CSR and I just naturally want to help,” said Cynthia.

But that passion to help is also the hardest part of her job.

“There are times when I’m not able to help someone and that is really difficult for me,” said Cynthia. “But I always do whatever I can to get them help. I don’t always have the answers, but I can find someone who does.”
