Growing up, healthcare was a part of my everyday life. My mother was a nurse, and my younger brother suffered from various ailments. So, I feel it was my calling to be a caretaker since it was a part of my day-to-day experiences. I love traveling with my wife to places like Sedona, car rides, and dinners with friends and family on my days off.   

As a healthcare provider, I value diversity. I ran into diversity, for the first time in the military. The people in my section became family to me. They were from diverse cultures and racial backgrounds. It became an essential in my life, reaching across human connections, with humility.
