Family Medicine

Rebecca McDermott, NP

Chamberlain College of Nursing

I got into healthcare because I have this inner need to help people in any way that I can. I’m a very compassionate person, it’s a major part of my lifestyle. My husband’s nickname for me Happy Helperton. I believe everyone should have equal access to quality healthcare which is what I love about being at Mountain Park.

Patients should be treated as whole people and not just symptoms. My patients can expect me to be a good listener, they know their bodies better than anyone else. We’ll work together to improve their overall health.

If I weren’t working in healthcare I think I’d be a math teacher or a microbiologist.
