I’ve always been interested in learning about why people do the things they do and make the decisions they make. That’s what lead me to a career in behavioral health. We’re all rowing the same boat and should be helping each other out.
I learned about Mountain Park Health Center through recruitment. I worked in community health before, but there was no integration model like there is here. It’s great to be a part of a full-care team.
I believe patients don’t get better by being told what to do. I’m here to listen to my patients about what they think they need. It’s important to me that I understand the way they see things in order to best help them. I’ve learned that people heal themselves. We as healthcare providers just open the door for our patients, but they walk through.
If I wasn’t working in healthcare, I’d probably be a photographer.
