Even though I was born in Connecticut, I mostly grew up in Nigeria. Both of my parents are Nigerian. Before moving to Arizona, I lived and worked in New York and Florida. My mom is a doctor and experiencing my mom at work encouraged me to become a doctor too. Being Nigerian and American helps me to understand where people are coming from culturally and to appreciate them for who they are.
I’ve worked in community health for a while now and I think my favorite part of working at Mountain Park is the camaraderie among the staff. We all work together toward our patients’ health – mind, body and spirit. My patients can expect me to have a real conversation with them because I’m very down to earth and my goal is to make their appointments as painless as possible. I think I’m pretty funny and I like it when we get to have some fun in my exam room.
When I’m not at work I enjoy watching movies, traveling and spending time with my family. Singing and writing are my two biggest passions.
