I was born and raised in Virginia, outside of Washington D.C. My childhood memories are of visiting the amazing and free Smithsonian Museums. When I later moved to Boston to study, I didn’t know that I would end up staying for 25 years before coming to Arizona.
In my family there are many lawyers, so that is what I did for almost 20 years. Part of my work as an attorney was representing juveniles in the court system. Because I enjoy working with young people I decided my life would be more fulfilling as a nurse practitioner. It is my goal to ensure that all Mountain Park kids receive an equally healthy start in life as any other child would in this country.
What I love most about Mountain Park is our integrated model of care and our staff that goes out of their way to care for each unique patient.
When patients come in I want them to trust me. I do my best to speak Spanish or use our interpreters when needed. I have two children who are my entire world. Family is important to me and I love being surrounded by people from different cultures. I respect and admire people who come to the U.S. from all over the world.
My dream is to travel to as many countries as possible, as well as read as many books as I can.
