I was born and raised in a small rural town in North Dakota and recently moved to AZ with my husband after becoming empty nesters. I’ve worked in various mental health capacities serving individuals, families, and the community. Working as a therapist in an integrated healthcare facility in Minot, ND was one of the things that attracted me to Mountain Park because it focuses on a team approach by using a biopsychosocial perspective of care.
I value working at Mountain Park as it gives me the opportunity to assist patients with making informed decisions about their healthcare, which in turn allows for self-determination in their everyday lives. I believe that one person’s health affects more than just themselves; it can have an impact on their whole family. Nothing gives me more joy than assisting patients with improving their quality of life or helping them gain self-awareness.
Faith, family, friends, and anything outdoors in the AZ sun fills up most of my days. My husband and I are proud parents of two daughters and one new son-in-law. I enjoy gardening, running, dancing, baking, listening to music, and watching Little House on the Prairie reruns. I don’t, however, miss shoveling snow in wind and -30 below weather!
