My mom was a nurse in Mexico. When we moved to the U.S., she did not continue this career path but I saw her live the life of a nurse. She was compassionate and medically knowledgeable and friends and family always came to her for advice. I realized in college that I wanted to follow in her footsteps.
I am very passionate about working in community health. I believe that health is a right, not a privilege. Access to excellent quality care is so important, and that is something Mountain Park excels at. I am very involved in patient education and advocacy. I want to make it as easy as possible for patients to grasp how to take better care of themselves and empower them to stand up for their rights. I want to be the difference and with every interaction I want patients to know that they matter. I try to see everyone’s point of view because this is the only way to understand and implement new ideas and perspectives.
When I am not in the clinic I put all of my energy into my family and make sure to spend quality time with them. I am married to Adam and we have a sweet dog named Bruce. I really enjoy hosting people and if I wasn’t a nurse I would own my own bed and breakfast.
