I decided to work in healthcare because when I was young my grandfather had colon cancer. At that time, cancer was something new to me and my family. We had a lot of questions that we were trying to get answered. I wanted to learn all I could, so I chose medicine and learned that colon cancer can be prevented.
I always try to be mindful and put myself in the shoes of my patients. I listen to them carefully and strive to deliver the best quality care with compassion and expertise. Working in healthcare has taught me that my small contribution, time and effort can have a large impact not only in my workplace, but in the community.
I enjoy going to church, Zumba, dancing and skydiving. I love being part of youth and women’s outreach programs. I also love the Michigan State Spartans!
If I weren’t working in healthcare I would travel all around the world, breaking the Guinness World Record for visiting every country. Traveling would allow me to meet unique people and learn about their cultures. I would also go on mission trips.
