Most people go to the doctor when they aren’t feeling good physically, but less people see counselors or therapists because of the stigma around mental health. I got into healthcare because I wanted to help change that. I chose Mountain Park as a place of work because we are able to care for all our patients’ needs, both physically and mentally.
I believe that healthcare is a human right and we should do whatever we can to make sure everyone is getting the care they need. My patients can expect to have my undivided attention. My exam room is a safe space for them to talk about whatever they want. I am here to listen and understand and help guide them to make things better.
Growing up, I was a military brat and my family was stationed in Panama for 6 years. While there I learned about Folkloric dance and I loved it. If I wasn’t in healthcare, I’d be a Panamanian Folkloric dancer. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my son.
