My parents passed away due to diabetes and cancer and losing them made me think about my community and the primary diet of Latin Americans. There is a need in the community for education surrounding healthy eating. Here at Mountain Park, I can use my first language, Spanish, to help bring some clarity to my community and improve their health.

Prevention is the most important thing in healthcare. If we can prevent something through eating and exercise, that is something we have control over. There are choices we can make to improve our health and many people know they want to do something; they just don’t know where to start. That is where I’m able to help.

My passion is in personal training and it’s something I like to combine with being a dietician.
