I always knew I wanted to help my community and growing up in a border city we didn’t have access to a lot of quality care, including dental. When I got to college, I worked with my advisors and chose a career in dental hygiene.

I really do believe healthcare starts with a healthy mouth. Anything we put into our bodies will have an impact on our health, good or bad, and it all starts with our oral health.

My calling is definitely to help people, so if I wasn’t in healthcare, I think I’d work with teenagers and be some sort of support system.
