Professionally, I am interested in empowering patients to regain a sense of control over their own lives by facilitating the change process. We get to do that every day at Mountain Park through brief, solution-focused interventions as part of an integrated healthcare team. Whether meeting patients in individual consultations or speaking to our diabetes education group, I enjoy offering patients the opportunity to learn about the mind-body connection and the importance of balance. I utilize Motivational Interviewing and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy when working with patients, which often leads to clarity and ultimately, better patient outcomes.

Personally, I practice mindfulness meditation and seek balance in my daily life. I value time with family and friends. I enjoy attending local community events including participating in walks/runs, listening to live music in both small and large venues, and attending sporting events. I’ve been known to enjoy heights, with three hot air balloon rides, and one skydive. But most days, I like to have my feet on the ground and enjoy time relaxing on the patio.
