I decided to work in healthcare largely because of my personal experience with my mom, who has Parkinson’s disease. Watching her navigate the healthcare system and face numerous challenges inspired me to enter social services. I started my career as a Benefits Specialist at a facility supporting people experiencing homelessness. However, as I delved deeper into social services, I felt a strong pull toward providing more direct services and was captivated by the fast-paced environment of healthcare. This is my first position in the healthcare field, and I love it.

I was drawn to Mountain Park because of our community-based approach. During my interview, it became evident that everyone here was genuinely committed to the mission and focused on patient-centered care. I particularly appreciate the collaborative team effort at Mountain Park. Patients can expect me to listen compassionately and attentively during appointments, offering resources and support tailored to their unique needs and experiences. The most important lesson I’ve learned in healthcare is that everyone is facing challenges at any given time, and it’s crucial to treat everyone with compassion.

I would likely be involved in child advocacy or working as a lawyer in welfare if I had not pursued a career in healthcare. Outside of work, I enjoy running, hiking, playing volleyball, going thrifting, reading horror, mysteries, and non-fiction, and spending time with my family. I highly value diversity in the workplace, believing that diverse perspectives and experiences are essential for providing appropriate healthcare. I incorporate wellness into my life by viewing physical activity as a reward and something to look forward to, making it enjoyable. A fun fact about me is that I once participated in a poetry recitation competition in high school, driven by my academic achievement and the need to earn a good grade.
