Growing up, I was really into sports like track and cross country. I loved learning how to keep the body healthy and performing at its best. I thought about becoming an athletic trainer, but I realized I liked preventing injuries more than treating them. That’s what led me to healthcare and preventive health.
I used to work at another community health center in their WIC program, and I really enjoyed working with the community. That’s what brought me to Mountain Park—I love being part of a team that helps people stay healthy before problems start.
When you visit me, I take time to understand who you are, what you already know, and what kind of support or info you need. Everyone is different, and that’s important to me. I’ve learned never to make assumptions about people or how their bodies should react. We all bring different stories and experiences, and I try to honor that.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, arts and crafts, and yes—video games! I’ve even run a marathon (okay… two and a half!).
I believe in small, doable steps when it comes to health—like 10-minute workouts and smart meal prepping. Little changes can go a long way!
