Baseline
Growing up in Traverse City, Michigan, I was a part of a medical family. My dad was a doctor, and my mom was a nurse, so I was naturally drawn to science. In high school, I wanted to be a lawyer or physician. I was a French major in college but knew I would go to medical school.
I’ve practiced medicine for 19 years, so there’s a lot that I’ve seen, but it was the clinic setting and warm welcome that I got from Mountain Park Health Center that made me want to be a part of the team.
My patients can expect active participation from me. I explain options, benefits, and risks and answer all questions. I work to empower patients to make their own decisions. When I’m not working, I watch sports, whether my two teenage sons’ games or professional ones.
