I feel like I wanted to be so many different things when I was little. As the older sister, I wanted to be a teacher because I was always teaching things to my brother. But during school, I became interested in pharmacy and the opportunity to educate the public about their health. Pharmacists are so accessible, and you can always ask us questions about your health and medications. That’s part of why I decided to work in healthcare.

My family speaks limited English, so they had trouble navigating the healthcare system in the United States. I want to help people with limited resources and during my undergrad I worked in a pharmacy. I really liked how it was more than handing out medication. We build relationships with patients and we’re a resource for the whole community. I like getting to know my patients, working with them and motivating them to achieve a healthier lifestyle. That’s how I came to Mountain Park – here I have the opportunity to work closely with the communities we serve.

When I’m not at work, I really like to go outdoors, to the movies or different restaurants. I also love to bake. I’m a very outdoorsy person, aside from hiking and going on road trips, I’ve bungee jumped three times!
