Giving Women and Their Babies a Healthy Start in Life
Mother’s Day is celebrated all around the world. For us in the United States, Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 8 and we want to celebrate all of our moms, step-moms, grandmas, mom figures and soon-to-be moms. A mom holds a special place in the family’s heart, frequently holding a family together. One of our beloved patients, Joaquina, once said, “The woman is the lioness that protects and nurtures. She is the engine, the one that keeps everything together.” We couldn’t have said it better ourselves and for that today we celebrate all of you.
In December 2015, we launched our Baby Box Program which aims to give expectant mothers a gift and the chance of an equal start for their children. When you are soon-to-be mom and a patient at one of our clinics, you are presented with a Baby Box at no cost. The box, which has a mattress, can also be used as a bed. It comes with the necessities a newborn may need, from blankets and bibs to a safety kit.
