When Stefanie Garcia had her baby, she knew she had to find a good pediatrician. Finding an affordable doctor – one who took AHCCCS – proved to be an overwhelming task.

“When it came time to pick a pediatrician, I did it last minute. I decided to just go with whoever AHCCCS had assigned to us,” she explained.

The doctor was not what Stefanie had hoped for, and her “mom gut” told her that it was time to look for someone that she felt would provide the best care for her daughter.

Making the Switch
At the top of Stefanie’s list was someone who would listen to her and help educate her as a first-time mom.

Stefanie chose Dr. Baynazier Ansari at our Baseline Clinic. From the moment they walked in the door, she knew she made the right choice for her daughter.

“Everything about this visit was a different experience. The evaluation was in-depth, we talked about all the important things a parent should know and I felt like our new doctor cared about my daughter,” Stefanie shared. “What I really appreciated was that she was trying to educate us as parents, too.”

You Have a Choice
A doctor-patient relationship is the most important aspect of healthcare. Many people who have AHCCCS don’t know they have the option to make a change. All it takes is one phone call to the insurance company and that one call may turn into the best thing a person can do for their health.
